Art Instruction for the Novice to the Professional
Art Creations has assembled some of Chattanooga’s finest artist/educators to lead our classes, which offer instruction and techniques in a variety of mediums for all skill levels from the novice to the professional. Our Hamilton Place location boasts two state-of-the-art classrooms, where beginners and advanced students alike will benefit from the breadth of talent and experience each instructor brings to our curriculum. Our classes run the gamut from introductory courses in drawing and painting to advanced instruction for the artist seeking to improve skills and techniques, as well as a variety of courses highlighting the latest trends in crafts and fun, educational classes for children and teens. For those who can’t commit to a long-term class, we offer frequent one-, two- and three-day workshops and demonstrations. Let our staff know about the project, style or medium you are interested in learning. We will pair you with one of our highly-qualified teachers and set up the hours of your classes to accommodate your schedule. If you have a specific teacher in mind, we will try to accommodate your request for that instructor. Private instruction charges are $50/hour, with a minimum of two hours reserved. These lessons can be scheduled on a one-time or a continuing basis. You must furnish all necessary materials and supplies. Payment must be made in advance of the class.
Individual an Group Critique
Do you need another set of eyes to help you analyze your paintings, improve your compositions and color choices, or prepare for a competition? We will be happy to pair you with someone from our excellent teaching staff to help you see your work anew. You may request a specific teacher and we will try to accommodate your request. Or tell us about your medium and style and we will assign the teacher we think is best qualified to help you. If you wish, you may split your hour of critique with one other person. Critiques are $50/hour, with a one-hour minimum. Payment must be made in advance of the critique. Visit Art Creations Hamilton Place to sign up. Questions? Full payment is required in advance in order to register. Once a class has met its maximum enrollment, the registration link will no longer accept registration or payment. Students will receive an email receipt after payment has been accepted. Please keep this receipt for your records. Art Creations uses PayPal to process credit card payments. The system is safe and secure and you do not need a PayPal account to register or pay online. Students who wish to pay with check or money order made payable to Art Creations can do so at our Hamilton Place location. Please note the course name and instructor on your check or money order.
Cancellation and Refunds Policies
Students who have paid in advance for a class must notify Art Creations within seven (14) days before the class begins in order to receive a refund. No refunds will be given after this period. Students who comply with this policy will receive a refund minus $25 for administrative processing fees. If a class does not enroll enough students to justify the course, a total refund will be given to those who have paid for the class. If an instructor cannot complete a course and a suitable replacement cannot be found, a partial refund may be returned to students. Students who feel the course is not meeting their expectations should discuss their concerns with Art Education Director Sandra Washburn, who will issue partial refunds on a case-by-case basis. No refund is guaranteed if you are not satisfied with the course or instructor.
